Greetings this is Master Mirmaker Lucis of the Sokan Council. I am making this report to record the events that took place a couple days ago. Master Carth had approached me with concern, he has been having visions of many things. Sith lords rising, the Galaxy falling under a dark shroud, and something disturbing the balance of Hoth.
This is what Master Carth had told me he had seen: An ancient fortress surrounded by ice. Once overlooked the entirety of the plains is now in ruins. A relic, of mysterious origin lies buried. A shadowy figure is seen in the ruins. It picks up the relic and a veil of darkness spreads accross the plains.
I gathered our available members and sent them to Aurek Base on Hoth where I debriefed them of the situation and the vision. Master Tsahir was the one who connected the Fortress with the Chilling Death Spire.
We arrived at the Death Spire to find a Sith who called himself Darth Teroz. He as holding a relic, possibly the relic from Master Carth's vision. We tried to intercept him, and peacefully have him hand it over.
Unfortunately he kept sending empty threats and attacked us, forcing Jedi Knight Tainer's hand into sending him over the cliff. We all gathered at the bottom of the cliff and found his body in the snow, the relic lying beside him.
The relic turned out to be a holocron, it held some very ancient knowledge however anyone who tried to touch it, became overwhelmed with the corruption of the relic. Masters attacking Masters, and Padawans giving into their urges. The corruption became so strong that we divirsed upon our ideas on what to do with the relic. Some wished to keep it for study, while others wished to destroy it.
We debated upon the subject for a time, until again Master Tsahir volunteered to contact the keeper of the holocron. We all gathered and concentrated, lending our will to her as she attemped the dangerous ritual.
We were able to make contact with the keeper, which turned out to be of the Rakata race of the Infinite Empire. This proved the origins of the holocron and confirmed our ideas to destroy the corrupted relic
Through cleverness and wise action, Master Tsahir was able to find out the weakness of the holocron from the keeper. He became wise to our plan and threatened the life of Padawan Morrigna. It came down to the wire until Knight Tainer used the Combustion technique upon the "heart" of the holocron, thus destroying its influence and forbidden knowledge contained within.
This goes to show, there while our code promotes Knowledge without ignorance, this incident proves that some knowledge is best left unkown and buried with time.
